Indoor Pool, Surrey

 

A fantastic site overlooking a valley. Working directly for the client, my brief was to turn an outside pool into an indoor pool, form a gym, changing room, kitchenette and link to the house. The client set the budget from the outset which was challenging. The design of the building was driven by the following key considerations;

 

• Budget

• Maximise the views but minimise the impact upon the Lutyens styled house

• Integration of supply air

• Roof span and means of support

• Limit work in the ground to control cost
